We encourage our students to be actively involved in a wide range of decisions about their daily words and actions, informed by our school’s values. We provide them with opportunities to be involved in experiences that grow them as learners, and connect them with others, so that they may achieve with confidence, serve others and seek to make our world a better place.
Our teachers enable students to be active participants in their learning journey, setting learning goals, and receiving and providing feedback on their learning.
Our older students become more active as leaders within their classrooms or across the school. Our senior student leadership team have the responsibility of leading the School Representative Council and allowing for the representation of student voice. Our Sport Leaders manage the access to our wide range of sport equipment for daily play, and our evangelisation leaders with Mini Vinnies focus on social justice awareness and outreach service.
At Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Matraville we value the opinions and perspectives of our students and involve them in the decision-making process. We believe that this process increases student engagement in learning and creates a positive school environment.
