Our Vision

The faith-based co-educational parish and school communities of Pagewood and Matraville will demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning in innovative environments. The vision for the parishes of St Agnes and Our Lady of the Annunciation, and their schools, is a revitalised, cutting-edge pre-school to Year 12 educational pathway within the Pagewood and Matraville network.

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Matraville offers contemporary new buildings and state-of-the-art facilities. The school has capacity for 420 students in two classes per year from K to 6 (two-stream school).
The multi-use spaces serve to guide and inform learner agency in how students transition seamlessly across and between larger learning commons, small groups and personalised settings. The school’s flexible design evolves teaching and supports long-term needs.

By 2025, beautiful outdoor spaces, shared parish and school facilities, and an Early Learning Centre will be features of our new school grounds.

The new facilities will include:

  • A two-storey building including multiple open learning areas and a canteen
  • A three-storey building with a new hall for shared school and parish use and administrative spaces
  • A three-storey building with ground level parking, several open learning spaces and an Early Learning Centre.
